Community Guidelines for Microfone

At Microfone, we are building a platform for honest, respectful, and safe conversations. These Community Guidelines outline what is and isn’t allowed on Microfone to protect our users and maintain the integrity of our platform. Violating these rules may result in content removal, account suspension, or legal reporting.

🚫 Zero Tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)

Microfone has zero tolerance for any content, behavior, or activity that involves:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)

  • Sexualization or exploitation of minors in any form

  • Grooming, solicitation, or attempts to build relationships with minors for exploitative purposes

  • Depictions, descriptions, or simulations of CSAE

Any such content will be immediately removed, and we will report violations to appropriate law enforcement agencies and child protection organizations, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

We proactively monitor and use automated and human review processes to detect and report CSAE, and we work with trusted partners to help ensure Microfone remains a safe space for everyone.

✅ Be Respectful and Authentic

Microfone is a place for people to share experiences and perspectives. We ask all users to:

  • Treat others with respect — no hate speech, harassment, or bullying

  • Share content honestly — no impersonation, misinformation, or manipulation

  • Use real, lived experiences to contribute to thoughtful conversations

  • Avoid spammy or promotional behavior unless clearly disclosed

❌ Not Allowed on Microfone

  • Hate speech targeting race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or disability

  • Harassment, threats, or bullying — including doxing or targeted abuse

  • Incitement to violence or glorification of harm, including self-harm or suicide

  • Illegal content or behavior, including but not limited to drugs, weapons, or trafficking

  • Sexual content that is exploitative, non-consensual, or inappropriate for a broad audience

  • Adult content involving nudity, pornography, or explicit sexual acts is not permitted on Microfone

  • Deceptive behavior, including impersonation, deepfakes, or manipulated media

  • AI Content, Microfone is a humans-only space, no AI generated content is permitted

  • Revealing the identity of others (“Doxxing”), privacy is paramount at Microfone, a user may only reveal their own identity and only if they choose to do so

🧒 Protecting Minors

If you are under 18, use Microfone responsibly and report anything that makes you uncomfortable. If you are an adult, do not contact or interact with minors in inappropriate or exploitative ways.

We encourage users to report suspicious behavior. Our moderation team investigates all reports seriously and quickly.

  1. Use the in-app Report feature

  2. Or contact our Trust & Safety team at info@microfone.io

We review all reports, take appropriate action (which may include content removal, account suspension, or legal reporting), and inform users of outcomes where appropriate.
